A fun-filled
week-end for PTAH 2000 Royalty - of fishing, cards, catfish, National
Inquirers & Karaoke |
| . |
February
23-25, 2001 at Tommy Pollard's Reelfoot Lake Cabin |
Who IS that
dashing guy? . . . No, it's not Burt Reynolds back to film
DELIVERANCE-2, it's our host with the most, Tombo Pollard
with soon-to-be card-shark, Beth Almond. |
Chairman Randy Almond
& Marcy
McConnell toast a great
week-end with friends in a rustic environment. "Say, Tommy . . . when
does maid service stop by
in the morning? My room's a wreck!" |
| . |
Displaying true regal grace, PTAH 2000 Queen
Pam Pittman discretely slips away to the stairs to read up on Tom & Nichole's breakup in the
National Inquirer.
"The Karaoke Man Cometh" . . . .
but has technical difficulties, so PTAH puts their best
people on it (Chairman Randy Almond, TJ Searcy, &
Mickey Pittman)
| . |
A Big Hand For the Little Lady . . . .
"Cool Hand Beth" shows no mercy in the evening's card
games: cleaning out the suckers repeatedly before they finally caught on.
Clockwise from top left: Pam Pittman on
stairs, Marcy McConnell, Beth Almond, Michael
McConnell (wisely) standing, Tombo Pollard & Phyllis
Pollard from back |
"Well,
that does it for us . . . . how about we break for Dinner?", say hosts
Tommy & Phyllis Pollard (with Beth Almond
shown counting up her take in the background).
So it's off
in the rain to Boyett's where 7:00 pm reservations and
catfish are waiting . . |
| . |
AFTER
DINNER AT BOYETT'S: Refusing her offer of making passionate love
under the
table, Tombo Pollard faces a possible freeze-out from Phyllis;
While
the others (Pam & Mickey Pittman, Randy & Beth
Almond) look on in stunned silence following an otherwise
perfect meal . . .
| . |
Meanwhile,
as diplomatic as always, Marcy
McConnell (shown above with husband Michael and Pam
Pittman), silently wonders . . .
"Exactly what
IS that greasy black spot on Jim Searcy's shirt?" . . . .
Oh, well - - maybe we're better off not knowing. (Jim
& TJ Searcy) |
| . |
BACK
AT THE CABIN . . . . After long hours of "sitting on the dock of the bay", Vice
Chairman & Fisherman, Michael McConnell, proudly shows off his
catch of the day.
| . |
Now
things REALLY start to get goofy . . . . Phyllis Pollard
& Jim Searcy practice up for the "pass the
life-saver on the tongue" event at Carnival Games.
. . . While,
apparently driven over the edge by the cabin's green walls, Marcy McConnell
starts to "get frisky" with the
mounted deer. |
| . |
Meanwhile, on
the other side of the room (proving three heads ARE better
than one), PTAH's team of technical wizards get the
Karaoke machine up and running . . . . |
.
. . . and miraculously turn into "Sonny & Cher &
Dick"
(Chairman Randy Almond, Mickey Pittman, & TJ Searcy)
| . |
"I
Got the Music in Me . . . " Displaying previously unrevealed
talents, PTAH's merry band of Karaokiers: Chairman Randy
Almond, Beth Almond, Phyllis Pollard, & TJ
Searcy kept the music playing till 2:30 am (much
to the frustration of those who actually tried to sleep)
But
it ain't over till it's over . . . . so Mickey
"LD" Pittman starts up again the next
morning at 7:30 am. Mickey's shown above (minus
nasty head-wounds) prior to an unpleasant incident involving
him with Marcy
McConnell & a frying pan
| . |
That's it for
the photos . . . although Mick threatens to use the video of the
week-end to blackmail us all. Stay tuned . . . |
